Magical tutoriel: Wanda's dress for Nuimos

Here we simply love marvel. So you can imagine how exited we were about the opening of the Avenger Campus at Disneyland Paris...but that is an other story. So naturally, when you have a Nuimos, you want him to look like you favorite character.I like the character of Wanda and got inspire by the series Wand Vision. I loved her look in the first episode and decided to crochet Wanda's dress. I love the style of this era and couldn't resist the urge to crochet it. Why this dress in particular? I actually don't really know, but I love the result!

Just a quick biographie of Wanda Maximoff. Wanda was first introduced in the mcu in the Avengers Age of Ultron. She and her brother were working at the beginning with hydra, after the death of their parents and gained super power (she can move object with her lind, fly, read someone mind...). She joined the Avengers to fight Ultron.
In Captain America Civil War, she joined team cap and get arrested and sent to prison. Captain America help his team escape at the and of the movie.
She then disappears a while, before coming back into Avengers infinity war, where she helps fight Thanos. She has to kill the "man" (Vision) she love in order for the Avengers to win the battle. Unfortunately, even if she kills him, their plan doesn't work. Thanos win and she dies.
But she is brought back to life in Avengers End Game, where she helps defeat Thanos. However, after Tony's funeral, she is left alone as all the person she ever cared for are dead.
This is how we meet her again in Wanda Vision. Her grief takes control of her power and she ends up controlling a whole town, where she brought Vision back to life. During 6 episode, she tries to live a "normal" life with Vision, even having children. Each episode also represent a certain period of time (episode one the 50s, episode 2 the 60s...). Unfortunately at the end Wanda is forced to fight an other witch and to let go of the town (killing her children and her husband in the process).
We finally see Wanda in Docteur Strange and the multivers of madness, where while trying to bring back her children, she is now controlled by dark magic. She desperately tries to travel into the multivers to see her children. At the end, when she sees all the bad she has done, Wanda sacrifice herself to destroy the Darkhole (book containing dark magic). in every universe. So she "dies" (even f I'm hoping she will come back, but this is only my desperat theory).
Now let's talk about he dress, as you are reading this article for this. I got the inspiration from this video. However I created the entire tutoriel. This dress apperas in the first episode during the dinner. You have to look at picture from behind the scene to find the dress in colour.
You will find the pattern to crochet the dress, the earrings, the necklace, the bracelet and how to sew the apron. Each article being removable. HOWEVER THE ERAINGS ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE A NUIMOS WITH LONG EARS, for example Minnie, Judy...
MAKE YOUR NUIMOS TRY THE DRESS WHILE DOING IT TO BE SURE THAT IT FITS CORRECTLY, as a change of yarn could make the dress bigger or smaller.
The top of the dress is separated in 3 different parts, wich will be put together while doing the skirt of the dress.

Apron
- cut a rectangle of L=4.5cm and l=5cm in the fabric with flower
- cut a smaller rectangle of L=3cm and l=3.5cm in white fabric
- tuck in the edges of the rectangles and sew them together
- cut another rectangle of L=2cm and l=35cm in the fabric with flower (make sure it's long enough to go around the nuimos and a double knot)
- sew it to the bigger rectangle and hide the edges
- ch 158 with white yarn and 2.5mm hook and sew the chain inside the apron (see picture below) as my sewing style were not incredible and the inside simply looked awful
- use black string (if your Nuimos has black ears) to attach the earring (see picture) --> it has to be big enough to put on or remove the earings easily. But if it's too long, the earings might move
